Polunsky Beitel Green LLP, the nation’s largest residential mortgage transactional law firm, announced today that McCalle Fryar has joined the firm’s Houston office as its third business development hire this year. Fryar brings more than 20 years of experience in homebuilding and mortgage lending, most of it spent building long-term relationships with builders across the Houston market.
Fryar joins Kimberly Friesenhahn and Jeanine LaMay Kay, who came to PBG in February and July, respectively, forming a three-person business development team with a presence in San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston. Working alongside PBG’s attorneys and client service teams, the group will focus on deepening the firm’s client relationships and supporting its continued national growth.
“Building out our business development team has been a real focus for us this year, and McCalle rounds it out,” said PBG Principal Marty Green. “She knows the people in this business, and they know her. She also started her career on the mortgage side, so she understands what our lender clients deal with every day. Having her in Houston, with Kimberly and Jeanine covering San Antonio and Dallas, puts us in a great position heading into 2027.”
Fryar joins PBG from 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, where she worked in business development and account management for more than two decades. During her tenure, she grew the company’s Houston market share from 2% to 15%, working directly with builders to design warranty programs suited to each company’s business needs and risk profile. She also trained builder sales, warranty, and construction teams and represented the company at trade shows and home builders association events throughout the region.
Before joining 2-10, Fryar spent four years as a loan coordinator at Priority Loan Mortgage and RBC Mortgage, where she managed new-home purchase transactions from application through closing and worked closely with builders, lenders, title companies, and Realtors to keep deals on track.
“Going through our client lists my first week, I kept recognizing names of people I worked with in mortgage more than 20 years ago,” said Fryar. “It’s been a lot of fun coming back to this side of the business, and having Jeanine and Kimberly to work alongside made joining PBG an easy decision.”
Fryar served on the board of HomeAid Houston from 2013 to 2023, chairing the HomeAid Amazing Ladies Organization (HALO) luncheon and helping grow it to nearly 500 attendees a year. She supported fundraising efforts that raised $597,000 for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, chaired HomeAid Austin luncheons that raised more than $335,000, and supported BuildAid’s efforts in repairing 155 homes after Hurricane Harvey. In September, HomeAid Houston presented her with its HALO Star Award, which recognizes long-term service to the organization’s mission of ending homelessness. Her other honors include the Texas Association of Builders’ Excellence Under 45 award and 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty’s Salesperson of the Year.
Fryar holds a B.S. in Mass Communication from Southwest Texas State University, now Texas State University, and is a licensed Texas Property & Casualty Insurance agent.
