We’re proud to share that Marty Green and Peter Idziak of Polunsky Beitel Green recently participated in two insightful panels at the 2025 Digital Mortgage Conference, hosted by National Mortgage News.
Marty Green: Developing a Cost-Effective Strategy to Navigate State vs. Federal Regulations
Marty joined a discussion on how lenders can efficiently manage compliance amid shifting regulatory priorities. He noted that, for the first time in his career, we’re seeing a regulatory pullback rather than expansion, a unique dynamic in today’s mortgage environment.

Peter Idziak: Rethinking RESPA — How to Balance Consumer and Lender Needs in 2026
Peter joined a panel examining whether RESPA Section 8, which has governed real estate settlement practices for 50 years, remains fit for purpose in the modern mortgage landscape. The panelists largely agreed that RESPA needs to be revisited, though, as Peter noted, it currently does not appear on the CFPB’s regulatory agenda. Much of the discussion explored the law’s historical roots and its impact on today’s lending practices.
